Orientation and Mobility Services

Children can receive orientation and mobility training from the RSB, outside of school hours, to assist them in learning to move about independently in and around the home and to travel beyond.

They can be taught how to use their other senses to assist them to move around safely and efficiently and, if required, may be introduced to the use of a white cane. Routes to and from school are taught as well as any other significant travel paths.
